DION needs limited technical access to supported websites so its features can work.

Google Search

When Google AI controls are enabled, DION may process limited Google Search page structure in your browser to identify supported AI Overview components.

DION may also temporarily read the current Google Search URL and query state so it can respond correctly when you perform a new search or navigate within Google.

Google search queries are not stored by DION and are not transmitted to DION.

Supported AI tools

On ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, DION uses the website address and page state needed to display Intentional AI or Focus Mode controls.

DION does not read or store the prompts you enter into these services.

DION does not read or store your AI conversations.

When Ask First is enabled, DION may ask you to select an intention before continuing to a supported AI tool.

Examples include Learn, Research, Brainstorm, Compare ideas, Translate, Create, Get unstuck, and Other.

Your selected intention is used only for the current interaction.

DION does not store your selected intention and does not transmit it anywhere.

Focus Mode allows you to temporarily pause supported AI tools.

Focus Sessions allow you to create timed focus periods of 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes.

While a Focus Session is active, DION stores limited timing information such as the session start time, end time, and selected duration in Chrome session storage.

This information is used only to operate the active Focus Session and is not transmitted externally.

Session-only Focus data is cleared with the browser session.

DION stores your extension preferences locally in Chrome so your settings remain available between browser sessions.

These preferences may include settings such as:

• Focus Mode
• Google AI controls
• Intentional AI mode
• onboarding completion

These settings are stored locally and are not transmitted to DION.

DION provides simple activity summaries so you can understand how its controls are being used.

Activity data consists of a local calendar date and numeric counters, such as:

• Google AI Answers Hidden
• AI Sessions Paused
• Focus Sessions Completed
• Focus Minutes Completed

DION does not create a browsing-history timeline.

Activity counters do not contain your prompts, conversations, Google searches, or page content.

Activity data remains in local extension storage and is not transmitted to DION.

When you continue through an Intentional AI prompt, DION may temporarily remember that the current browser tab has already completed the pause.

This session information may include a tab identifier, supported-site identifier, and internal settings revision.

It does not include your prompt, conversation, selected intention, or page content.

These approvals are stored only for the browser session.

DION for Individuals does not collect or transmit:

• AI prompts
• AI conversations
• selected intentions
• browsing-history lists
• Google search queries
• account passwords
• payment information
• email addresses from supported websites
• precise location
• analytics or telemetry
• advertising identifiers

DION does not sell user data.

DION does not use extension data for advertising.

DION does not share extension data with third parties.

DION does not make extension browsing data available for human review.

DION requests only the Chrome permissions and website access needed to provide its disclosed features.

For example, storage access allows DION to remember your preferences locally, while access to supported websites allows DION to identify or modify supported page elements and display DION controls.

DION also uses Chrome functionality needed to operate timed Focus Sessions and provide Focus Session completion notifications.

These permissions do not give DION a stored copy of your general browsing history, and DION does not use them to monitor your browsing outside the functionality described in this policy.

DION is designed around local browser processing.

Chrome permissions give the extension technical access to specific supported websites so DION can provide its disclosed features.

Technical access does not mean DION collects or uploads the contents of those websites.

DION limits its processing to what is needed to operate its supported controls.

Persistent preferences and current activity counters remain in Chrome's local extension storage until they are changed, cleared, or the extension is removed.

Session-only information, including AI approvals and active Focus Session state, is stored in Chrome session storage and clears with the browser session.

You can remove DION's locally stored extension data by clearing the extension's storage or uninstalling DION for Individuals.

Because DION does not transmit this extension data to DION servers, there is no separate cloud copy of this information maintained by DION.

DION operates on supported third-party websites including Google Search, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

Your use of those websites remains subject to each provider's own terms and privacy policies.

DION does not control how those services collect or process information when you use them.

DION for Individuals is a general-purpose browser productivity tool and is not designed to collect personal information from children.

The extension does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users through external DION servers.

DION for Individuals' use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information accessed through Chrome APIs is used only to provide the user-facing functionality described in this policy.

DION does not use this information for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy when DION's functionality or privacy practices change.

Material updates will be reflected on this page along with a revised effective date.
